Shake your world with microgreens smoothie

Today we’re diving into a delicious and simple way to incorporate microgreens into your daily diet: through smoothies. It’s the perfect way to refresh your summer while boosting your nutrition!

After conducting extensive research on social media and various websites, we found several smoothie combinations featuring microgreens. They all have one thing in common: they’re delicious and an excellent source of antioxidants and nutrients that provide significant health benefits.

Below, we’re sharing some of the most interesting ideas we found. At the end, you’ll also find our very own recipe for you to try at home.

Cauliflower microgreens smoothie

On TikTok, we came across a Spanish speaking nutritionist who shares a delicious smoothie recipe with microgreens. Her profile is @minutohealthy, and we highly recommend checking it out.

She uses:

    • A banana
    • Frozen berries (blueberries in this case)
    • Greek yogurt
    • Chia or flax seeds
    • A bit of ginger (optional)
    • A splash of water
    • Cauliflower microgreens

Just blend everything together and it’s ready to go. She describes it herself as a “nutrient bomb.”

Another smoothie idea from @minutohealthy

Minutohealthy also suggests a different smoothie with another set of ingredients. This one starts with ice to make it extra refreshing, and includes:

    • A banana
    • An apple with skin (important! Don’t peel it, apple skin contains fiber, antioxidants, and vitamins like K, A, and C)
    • Yogurt
    • Some type of fiber
    • A source of protein (tofu or a protein supplement will do)
    • Hemp seeds (you can substitute with chia seeds)
    • Peanut sprout butter
    • Granola on top
    • Chia sprouts

It looks amazing, and I have to say, it’s my favorite.

Nut lover’s smoothie

Next up, we have a smoothie made with nuts. Any other nut fans out there?

We found a recipe with the following ingredients:

    • Apple
    • Nuts (cashews in this case, but you can also use walnuts or peanuts)
    • Ice
    • Water
    • And of course, your favorite microgreens

You can find this smoothie on the Instagram account dedicated to microgreens: @bienverdes.

Green smoothie from microgreen-shop.com

On the website microgreen-shop.com, which specializes in selling microgreens, we found this idea:

    • Broccoli, alfalfa, kale, or red clover microgreens
    • Spinach
    • Carrot
    • Banana
    • Apple
    • Water

Blend everything together for a healthy, nutrient rich smoothie. Delicious!

Our own creation: pink berry smoothie with microgreens

We’re big fans of berry smoothies, so we came up with a pink (or purple) version of our own.

Here are the ingredients:

    • Red berries: strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries
    • A small glass of milk
    • A spoonful of Greek or plain yogurt (your choice)
    • A handful of peanuts
    • And most importantly: the microgreens

For this recipe, we chose:

    • Cinnamon Basil
    • And to match the color, you could also add Red Amaranth or Red Radish microgreens

We hope you give these combinations a try and let us know what you think on our social media @evec.microgreens

We’ve already tested them all and it’s clear to us: we love them!

What about you? Which one is your favorite?
