Welcome to EVEC Microgreens (microgreens.org.gr), the home of the microgreens methodology. The organisation behind it is EVEC Athens. By accessing and using this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using the site.
By using this website, you confirm that you accept these Terms of Use and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.
This portal presents the microgreens methodology — a hands-on teaching method. The organisation behind it is the European Voluntary and Educational Center (EVEC Athens), a non-profit organisation based in Athens, Greece, working in European projects since 2017. The website provides free educational resources, guides, recipes, courses and toolkits related to growing and using microgreens.
The educational materials published on this website are open. You may use, copy, adapt, translate, remix and redistribute them, including for commercial purposes, provided you give appropriate credit.
Unless a specific item states otherwise, the original educational content of this website — articles, crop and variety guides, courses and courseware, toolkits, project results, recipes and the plain-language science summaries written by us — is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0).
This reflects a commitment we take seriously as an organisation working in European programmes: educational resources produced with support from the Erasmus+ Programme are to be made freely available to the public under an open licence, easily accessible and retrievable without cost or limitations, with the licence allowing the public to use, reuse, adapt and share the resource. We apply that standard to this portal as a whole, not only to individual funded outputs.
Credit us in a reasonable way, indicate whether you made changes, and link back to the licence. A simple attribution line is enough, for example:
“[Title of the material]” by EVEC Athens — microgreens.org.gr, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Adapted from the original.
You do not need to ask our permission, and you do not need to pay anything. You may not suggest that we endorse you or your use of the material, and you may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the licence permits.
The CC BY 4.0 licence above applies to our own educational content. It does not apply to:
If you are unsure whether a specific item is covered, or you need written confirmation of the licence for a funding application or an annex to a proposal, write to erasmus@evec.org.gr and we will confirm in writing.
You are welcome to cite, annex, adapt and build on these materials in an Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, Horizon Europe or nationally funded project — including before any partnership with us exists, and including if we are not a partner in your project at all. Adapting an existing open resource with your own learners, and publishing the improved version openly, is itself a legitimate project activity. If you would like us to confirm the licence status of a particular output in writing for your application, just ask.
The information and content on this website are provided for general educational purposes only. EVEC Athens makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of this information. Use of the content is at your own risk. The open licence above is granted without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
Some articles on this website discuss the nutrition, health, food-safety, pregnancy or pet-related aspects of microgreens. This information is provided for general education only and is not medical, nutritional or veterinary advice. Microgreens are a food, not a medicine, and nothing on this site should be used to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease in people or animals.
Growing and eating any plant carries food-safety and allergy risks. Raw sprouted greens in particular can carry bacteria if they are not grown, handled and stored correctly. Always wash produce thoroughly, follow good hygiene, and — if you are pregnant, have a health condition, or are feeding a young child or a pet — consult a qualified doctor, midwife, dietitian or veterinarian before making changes to your (or your animal’s) diet.
If you adapt and republish our materials under the open licence, this responsibility travels with them: please keep the relevant safety guidance intact, and make sure any changes you introduce are accurate and safe for your own audience.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EVEC Athens shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content, or arising out of your reuse or adaptation of materials made available under the open licence.
This website may contain links to third-party websites for informational purposes. These links do not constitute an endorsement of those sites. EVEC Athens is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any linked third-party websites.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. Any licence already granted under CC BY 4.0 is irrevocable — if you received material under that licence, a later change to these terms does not withdraw your rights to that material.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
If you have any questions about these Terms of Use or about reusing our materials, please contact us at erasmus@evec.org.gr or visit our contact page.
