A free collection of easy, mostly vegan-friendly microgreens recipes developed and tested by our team and volunteers — for food-literacy sessions, workshops and home kitchens.

Type: Recipe collection for cooking with microgreens · Status: Live and growing · Language: English · Cost: Free

Cooking with microgreens needs no special equipment and no chef training. This is a collection of easy, mostly vegan-friendly recipes developed and tested by the team and volunteers behind the microgreens methodology, showing how to turn a tray of microgreens into salads, smoothies, sauces, snacks and full dishes. Every recipe is written to be followed by someone who has never cooked with microgreens before.

Where cooking with microgreens fits in a project

It works as the closing step of a growing project: harvest, then cook and eat together. Adult educators use it for food-literacy sessions, youth workers for group cooking, and home growers for everyday ideas.

The Microgreens Cookbook is an openly licensed (CC BY 4.0) resource of the microgreens methodology, free to print and adapt for your own sessions. Need greens before you cook? Start with growing at home, follow the 10-day growing guide, or choose a crop in the varieties database.
